Edmund Sparks to Theresa Bouis, October 30, 1825Editor's Note: The above records were copied for us by Betty Cain a number of years ago from an index compiled by the St. Louis Genealogical Society. The Edmund Sparks heading this list is known to have been Isaac J. Sparks, son of Samuel and Sally (Brown) Sparks, of Bowdoinham, Maine. A day prior to his marriage, Isaac had been baptized and had joined the Roman Catholic Church under the name Edmond Isaac James Sparks. (See the Quarterly of March 1979 (Whole No. 105), page 2081.) The John Sparks listed as having been married to Lavonia Walton on January 11, 1829, was a brother of Isaac J. Sparks. Lucinda Sparks and Vienna Sparks may have been sisters of Isaac and John.
